Leader of Lutheran Children Home. LCH

The leader are together with his wife called and employed by CSCMs board to live and work on LCH and to be “Mom and Dad” for the Children. The daily leader is responsible for the running of LCH towards the board of CSCM.
The leader’s responsibility is according to following:
1. The LCH Children and their well-being temporally and spiritually.
2. The LCH building and LCH ground.
3. LCH finances.
4. Information.

General:
The Leader of Lutheran Children home must be a personally professed Christian, who wants to work in accordance with the Holy Bible as an authority and the Lutheran creeds as a right understanding of the Bible.

The Leader must be agreeing with CSCMs statues for LCH and do the work in accordance with following:
The purpose for Lutheran Children Home (LCH) is in parents place to take care of orphan Children in the ages 0 -15 years.
LCH is a Christian home and have same foundation as Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church. LCH is a Christian home there respect and accept Convention on the Rights of the Child from United Nations from 1989 and want to follow this where it’s not are in conflict of the word of God. The Holy Bible is the authority for LCH and the work on LCH.
LCH is for the orphans Children their home and the fundamental place for upbringing, teaching and preaching. On LCH the aim is to take care of the whole Child and its needs.
On LCH the view is:
- that every Child is a gift from God and has a big value, and must be loved as that person it is.
- the Child must be lead to the feet’s of Jesus Christ and to live the life according to the Holy Bible. - the Child must grow from to be a depended person to be an independent person, who later can
take responsibility for its own life.
-the most essential sign of care is not just warm feelings, but the will to see the world from the Child’s perspective and act for the benefit of the Child.
- as mom and dad the leader couple is role models for the LCH kids how to live the life.

The LCH Children and their well-being temporally and spiritually.
The leader is responsible for the LCH will be a good Lutheran Christian Home for the Children. The leader must work for there is a good environment for the kids so they really feel that LCH is their home and it is a good home.
The leader is responsible for the Children’s well –being.
Important that the leader see every child so the Child really feeling: “I have value” and experiences that it’s loved because it’s that person it is and are created by God.

The leader is responsible to make clear rules and orders in LCH and the rules must be known by the kids.

The leader is responsible that the Children in school ages are send to school and also to follow up their school work/homework.

The leader is responsible for to taking care of the Children who not are in School ages.

Important to involve the kids in differently practically work there has to be done in a family/home.

The Leader is responsible that there always are an adult on the LCH who cares for the kids. But still it’s the leader there are responsible for the LCH and The LCH children.

To cares for Children is also the Children are washed and get their teeth’s brushed. To be sure that the cloths is in order and the washing of the Childrens cloths, bed linen, towels. The hygienic conditions must be in order.

The leader is responsible for the Children get good food and also there are clear times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the Children do normally eat together breakfast and dinner.

The leader is responsible for there every day is devotion where all Children participate. On the morning: Morning prayers. Evening: Evening prayers.

On Sunday LCH Children attend in the Service and in the Sunday School.

On LCH the leader also have to help the Children to read in the Bible. For older kids LCH give the Child one Bible. Younger kids who not can read or only can read a little are given one Children Bible with pictures.

The leader is responsible for there is a clear timetable for the day on LCH.
Example: Time to get up and time to go to bed.

Important the leader teaches the Children how to bring their bed, room in order.
Also when playing with play toys (Example Lego and Duplo bricks) from the box to put it back in the box after playing.

Important, that the leader teach the Children how to have a good behaviour and also to respect each other’s.
Important the leader can set boundaries. Bad behaviour must not be tolerated but have to be point out/ corrected towards the single Child. Also here the leader is in parents place. If there are behaviour problem with a child so speak individually with this Child and point out what there is wrong. It’s a case between the Child and the person there are in parents place.

Article 21 of the Constitution protecting the ‘right to life’ is the first point of reference. The Child Rights Charter 2003 of India specifically states “All children have a right to be protected against neglect, maltreatment, injury, trafficking, sexual and physical abuse of all kinds, corporal punishment, torture, exploitation, violence and degrading treatment.”
In upbringing of the Child is it very important to appreciate the Child when it does well. By this the Child will grow.

Registration:
The leader is responsible for that all kids on LCH are registered according to Indian Laws and regulations for Children there are in orphanage/ Children’s home. Every Child must be registered with name, birthday and year, place where it was born,
names of parents. Date and year when the Child was brought to the LCH and the reason for that the child shall stay on LCH.

LCH building and ground.
The leader is responsible for that the building of LCH is kept in order. If something is needed it must be repaired if possible. If not possible because it give problems in relation to keeping the budget, CSCMs board have to be informed.
The leader is responsible for the house be cleaned and is in order.
The ground belongs to LCH must also be kept in order. Rubbish must be kept in the special place/container for rubbish.

LCH finances
The leader of LCH is responsible to running the LCH in accordance with the yearly budget from CSCMs board. The leader shall every third month make written report to CSCMs board for the work on LCH. Enclosed the report also enclose account for LCH with income and expenses since the beginning of the financial year. Copy shall be send to Indre Mission in Denmark so long as Inner Mission trying to supporting the yearly running costs for 30 Children with max 90.000 Danish crowns.
The leader of LCH will be involved, when CSCMs board makes the yearly budget for LCH.

Information:
The leader is responsible for giving information with photos from LCHs daily life at least every third month to Inner Mission in Denmark to inform the supporters of LCH. Information is so important in relation to financial supporting of the running costs to LCH.

To persons who have signed up for sponsorship of one or more Children shall have information and photo concerning the child they supporting at least two times every year: January and July. The information and photo shall be send to Inner Mission who send the information and photo’s to the sponsor’s.
LCH will from the chairman get a list over names of the Children there have sponsors and also name of the sponsor’s.
It will be good if the Child bring a greeting to the sponsor example by a drawing and so.

On Indre Mission’s Indian Homepage there is informed about LCH and where the Children on LCH also are introduced with a photo and name and ages.

NB! It will be good also to inform with text and photos from special LCH events to Inner Mission’s Indian homepage.

Seminar´s and meetings on LCH.
LCH is also centre for CSCMs work in relation to house different CSCM’s seminar’s and meetings. And the office on LCH is also office for CSCM.
In relation to house seminars and meetings the leader of LCH will be involved in relation to the practical work.

Meeting with the CSCM board.
Once or two times the leader-couple/ Mom and Dad on LCH will be invited to meeting with the board of CSCM and to discus LCH issues and to inform about the work on LCH.
The chairman of CSCM will like to have one yearly meeting with the leader-couple/ Mom and Dad on LCH.
